# Exporting the register

> Download the compliance register as a CSV, on every plan, for an owner, an auditor or your own records.

The compliance register exports as a CSV file on every plan: one row per active vendor, with the coverage on file, the verdict and the reasons behind it. There is no export tier and no exit fee, and the export still works after a trial ends.

## Download it

Any of:

* **Overview** → **Export register**
* **Vendors** → **Export**
* **Settings → Export & sharing** → **Download CSV**
* The command palette (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) → **Export compliance register**

The file is named `watchmycover-compliance-YYYY-MM-DD.csv`, dated by your organization's calendar day. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets. Anyone on the team can export; each export is recorded in the [activity log](/docs/account/activity-log).

## Columns

| **Requirement template** | The assigned template, or "None assigned".                                                                                                               |
| **Compliance status**    | `COMPLIANT`, `EXPIRING_SOON`, `NEEDS_REVIEW`, `NON_COMPLIANT` or `NO_CERTIFICATE`.                                                                       |
| **Critical findings**    | Count of definite failures.                                                                                                                              |
| **To verify**            | Count of findings a document must settle.                                                                                                                |
| **Warnings**             | Count of expiry warnings.                                                                                                                                |
| **Earliest expiry**      | Earliest expiry among required coverages, as `YYYY-MM-DD`.                                                                                               |
| **Insurer**              | Insurer on the most recently issued certificate in force.                                                                                                |
| **Coverages on file**    | Each coverage in force, with its each-occurrence limit and expiry, separated by vertical bars. For example `General Liability $1,000,000 to 2027-03-01`. |
| **Reasons**              | The sentence of every finding that affects the verdict, separated by vertical bars.                                                                      |

Rows are in the register's risk order, riskiest first. A single file holds up to 5,000 vendors; a larger register says so in the file.

The file ends with a statement of scope: WatchMyCover compares recorded certificate data against your requirements, cannot confirm a policy remains in force, that an endorsement exists, what a policy excludes or that a certificate is authentic, and the file is not a coverage opinion.

  The export does not include aggregate limits, endorsement evidence levels, policy numbers or effective dates. Those are on each vendor's page.

Any cell beginning with `=`, `+`, `-` or `@` is prefixed with a quote so a spreadsheet cannot run it as a formula.
