What a read is

No plan limits how many certificates you record. The files themselves are kept in the plan’s document storage: 250 MB on Starter, 1,000 MB on Core, 50,000 MB on Pro. A read is something else: a flat or scanned certificate, or an endorsement form, read into the form for you so that nobody types it in.

What is included each month

25 on Starter, 100 on Core, 500 on Pro. The count starts again each calendar month, and reads you did not use are not carried over.

What is never counted

A fillable ACORD 25, which is read from its own fields as often as you like. A certificate you type in by hand. A read that fails, or a file that turns out not to be a certificate.

Topping up

A pack of 100 more reads is $10, paid once, under Settings, Plan and billing. Bought reads do not expire and are spent only after the month's included reads. Nothing is topped up on its own, so you are never charged for a pack you did not buy.

What happens with none left

With no reads left nothing else stops. The file is still kept, a certificate a subcontractor sends through an upload link still reaches you, and you can enter the values by hand.

What happens at the end of the trial?

Nothing is charged, because no card is taken, and nothing is deleted. The workspace goes read-only: you can still open it, still export the register, still read every finding. Choose a plan under Settings, Plan and billing, and it carries on where it stopped.

What happens when I hit the subcontractor limit?

Existing subcontractors keep working: evaluations, chasing, exports, all of it. You are asked to move up a plan before you can add the subcontractor that would cross the line. Nothing stops working retroactively because you grew.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time, from Settings, Plan and billing, with no call and no notice period. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew, and you can take the cancellation back until then. A year paid up front runs to its end and is not refunded in part; choose monthly if you want to be able to stop sooner. Export the register first, or ask us to delete the workspace.

If I leave, can I take the data?

Yes, and you do not have to be leaving to do it. The compliance register exports as CSV on every plan: one row per subcontractor, the coverage on file, and the reason behind every verdict. There is no export tier and no exit fee. A single file covers up to 5,000 subcontractors, and says so in the file when a register is larger.

Who can see the certificates I hold?

People you invite to your workspace, and anyone you deliberately send a share link to. Share links carry a report you choose the scope of and an expiry date you set. Everything else is scoped to your organization at the database query, not filtered after the fact. The detail is on the security page.

Is there a discount for paying annually?

Yes. Paid for by the year, the plans come to $49, $79 or $149 a month, billed once as $588, $948 or $1,788. Paid month to month they are $59, $99 or $169. Choose annual when you subscribe.

What is a certificate read, and what if I run out?

A fillable ACORD 25 is read into the form for you as often as you like. A flat or scanned certificate, or an endorsement form, is read by a paid service, and each plan includes a number of those reads a month: 25, 100 or 500. If you use them up, a pack of 100 more is $10 under Settings, Plan and billing, and bought reads do not expire. You can always type a certificate in by hand.

Who takes the payment, and is tax added?

Payment is taken by Dodo Payments, our reseller, on its own checkout page, and its name appears on your receipt. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies to you.

Fourteen days is long enough to find the subcontractor you did not know was uninsured.
